FWIW, I had a clunking rear driveshaft that I would periodically have to pull out and grease to make my clunk go away. I was doing that about every 2 months. I eventually got tired of that and just bought a brand new, OEM shaft (which includes the U Joints...completely ready to go). Going on 2 years and no clunks yet (knock on wood).
