I worked on my version of Spikey's - Zane inspired drawers today. I got the top and 2 bottom boxes framed and done. Will order sliders tomorrow and build the drawers when I get back from my trip.

It looks sweet! Thanks for the inspiration and details... I got the easy part done with a buddy of mine who owned a jig saw. I am now in the market for a router so that I can build really sturdy drawers.

great looking drawer system! thread is filled with useful links for materials! thanks!

wonder if anyone has build plans, parts list, etc...so all we got to do is buy the material and start cutting and screwing.

we have custom cabinet maker here in our club...wonder if we could set one up on his CNC and just knock out the pieces easily...mmmmmmmmmm i wonder?

These look very nice. But can they be removed easily?
I want to build a set that allow me to use one of the 3rd row seats as well, so it needs to be easily removable. I'm thinking a latch system or some other quick release like the seats use.

I also noticed that most builds are over top of the base carpet and carpet mat. why not remove the mat?

I built mine over the carpet and mat - actually removed both prior to the install as they were wet. I put everything back in thinking it would help deaden any sound, plus it really doesn't take up that much space.
