Door chrome on 16+

Has anyone removed it? I want to. Are the strips just stuck on or fastened through the door? Thanks.

If they are like my son's Highlander, they clip in with plastic tabs that leave small holes when removed. The LC could be different, but you might be able to figure it out from a parts web site with exploded diagrams.

The front door outside moulding is held on with tape and six (6) clips.
Rear door outside moulding is held on with tape and four (4) clips.

I’m planning on having mine removed, stripped and painted to match the vehicle color. Was also considering just removing them but didn’t want to deal with patching the holes in the door once I saw the clips.

I plan on plastidip-ing them. I've done the rear trim but haven't completed the door trims.
