Doing a hydro-boost - what else should I replace while I'm in there? (2 Viewers)

Any update on the LS430 booster on a LHD 80?
When I replaced my stocker I recall there was very little room to install as it was hitting the intake manifold; the LS430 unit looks even thicker/deeper.
I'm concerned it won't fit

Ok, I’ve got some experience on this.

Several years ago I installed the hydro-boost, larger aftermarket reservoir, cooler, & Wilwood proportioning valve.

Prior to the hydroboost, I had already deleted the LSVP.

I was never happy with the set up. I felt the 1 1/8” MC bore was the culprit.

Fast forward to late last year. I replaced all calipers with new OEM calipers. They were in pretty bad shape at 250,000 miles.

At the same time I bypassed the ABS unit.

I am now super happy with the set up!!!

I don’t think I ever got all the air out of the lines prior to the ABS bypass & new calipers were definitely needed.

Brakes are a whole system. If you don’t fix everything, the weakest link will bring limited results.
