Does this mean my fuel pump is bad ?

1968 FJ40 - Has a 1977 2F engine. Oil dripping out the weep-hole. No gas smell. No gas smell on dipstick and oil level normal ....

Yes, it’s bad…if I remember correctly & I ‘think’ I do.

This happened to me on a freeway road trip. When I opened it up there is a gasket that separates the oil from the fuel that fails. This was on my 60…but I believe it’s basically the same pump.

@Spike Strip Here’s a bit more info, this happened in the middle of nowhere on my way back home from an SAS. Just checked my old notes:

Same exact leak as yours, no way to get a new pump in this small town so I drove it home another 300 miles. Had no issues except for a very messy engine bay & stopping every so often to check my oil. 300 miles & got a new pump when I got home.

I switched over to cheap diode electric fuel pumps many years ago. I bought the Man a fre block off plate.
I use the same pump in my transfer system. Fused, filtered, switched, 12' power cord that connects to battery or cig lighter , 20' delivery 5' draft fuel hose.

Would check you PCV to be sure it's working. Oil is coming from the cam shaft area. Blow by from piston rings could cause this. Might check breather from valve cover to the base of the carburetor. That shouldn't be oily at the air cleaner. Air should be coming into the valve cover to allow the PCV draw any gas fumes blown by the piston rings to be pulled out of the oil pan.

I thought same, looks more like oil. Touch, smell, taste! If oil see above.
