Hi everyone,
Is this from inside my 100 series.
I’ve never found where it goes

My best guess is maybe the little cover piece on the rear bumper that covers the access port to lower the spare tire. Center of the top edge of the rear bumper. Perhaps it was removed and not replaced.

Edit, in looking at it again perhaps not, but it is curious.

Good thought but that’s not it.
Mine is on the bumper.

If it’s from anywhere it’s inside the car.

Cover for car seat anchor point behind the second row?

If it’s something that there’s another one in the car normally , I haven’t seen it.
Just one car seat anchor?
Quarter window pop out?
Cars not here right now but I’ll check when it’s back.

Every trim piece I’ve seen in this car has a part number stamped, so I’m guessing a child seat part from a PO, not OEM. But I’m known for being wrong once a decade.

Ok,
Not from the child seat or rear window that pivots out.
No part number on the piece just an L.

Check the back of your front seat tracks, not the seat bolts on the floor, but the actual tracks themselves. I think I found that same piece in mine and that is where it was from.

You are correct!
That part has been in the center glovebox for the 21 years we’ve owned the 100.
Part will be ordered today.
Thanks

Man that was a satisfying outcome. I was stumped, too. Glad you were able to scratch that 21 year itch!

I can kind of picture the discussion in my own truck over the span of time. It would be a running joke whenever we'd get in. "You figure out what that piece is yet?" "No, I'll check on Mud when we get home". Repeat until we're old. Love it.
