Wow... sposibo... I gotta try this next time and amaze my friends with MY creativity... JUST KIDDING.. I'll tell them I got this from Voron!

wow i have to try this next time im out

hmm, i bet if one had the time and different sized logs to use, one could find the optimal diameter and length of wood to burn the longest! what if it was a shorter fatter log? the concept is to have fuel soaked in the wood to slow down the wood burning, like an old lantern, were the rope doesn't burn up as fast...
anyway, will try that too next time we're out in the woods...i like fires. :)

Very cool tip and trick, thanks Voron! Its one of those things where I wonder why I didn't think of that it is so simple and so effective. Thanks Again!

Then we inundate an a bit fuel (50-100 gr.)... We set on fire and enjoy a heat a few hours...;)

Idea thief!!!!! OK, just kidding, but these folks are actually applying for a patent on it....

On of my co-workers brought this to my attention. He says their rounds are bored with a chainsaw, removing approx 3-4" square from the middle, approx 2/3 - 3/4 deep, and a hole drilled into the side to meet the cavity. This provides the chimney effect. They even come with starter chips and some matches!!!

Same idea, but cooler.

edit: way more labor intensive. I like Voron's better.

But that would take the fun outta impressing your camping buddies on your outdoor skills..:D

OTOH I'd rather be closer to an ER when I partially amputate a limb.
