don't add any more to them.
how far from the rocker do they sit?
they will flex a bit and that's what you want.
make them to stiff and something will break.

prep and coat.

they sit about an 1 1/2 inches from rocker.

Whats with the flat bar in the 1st picture? They look good, very similar to the ones 'Cruisin made for my 81.

cat guard.

i added some gusset /tabs to the driver side. i did this for 2 reasons. 1) the length of the driver side brace is long and would have a lot of leverage. b) in case i want to add an air tank or another battery. i drilled holes in em already so i can just bolt it up.

Adriann!! in case you didn't catch it in front of the the 2 reasons i put 1) then for the second reason i put b). paying homage to rocky ! :hillbilly:

Wow those look nice and stout. Great work! About how long did this project take you?

design and deciding what it should like and where and how to mount it took the longest. 65-75 hour actual build time. not too bad. there is a reason these things are expensive, though!

That's why I am taking pics of em now!
I have a friend who works for a company that does powdercoating. So it was stupid cheap. His boss let's him put what he wants on the conveyor belt & runs it through with everything else.

more pics

They look great. I like the cat theft preventors.

if you look closer at the pics you will see a wire that is attache to the cat guard. when the alarm is on and someone touches the cat ZZZZZT !! a little jolt of back off!
