And it is literally maddening…somehow other car mfgs like BMW, RR and even the New Ford EXPY have them…
I had an X5 rental recently… was delighted to see it had a split tail gate.
Why are you surprised? The LC Prado has never had a split tailgate that I’m aware of.

The Rivian R1S has one, which is a big plus in my opinion.
