I guess my thoughts are......Do you plan on ever re-gearing another 4x4? is this a one time deal....or do you want to pay someone else $1200 every time you do this? Best case scenario, find someone that knows what they are doing and see if they will help you do it. Personally I can see myself doing this a few more times before I die. I'm not sure that is the case for the OP. I also know I don't have much extra cash.....if I was loaded I would be much more likely to pay someone else to make it happen. I know it sounds corny but the "teach a man a fish" quote fits pretty well in this instance..
 
It's not that hard. Reading the pattern isn't brain surgery. Do what I did the first time: get the pattern, take photos and post here for advice.

The gears are more forgiving than you think. Your not building a watch. Just take your time, then gently break them in.

I've used my press for a lot of other things.
 
Well....I just ordered a set of 4.88 gears and a master install kit for the rear. I will do the front later. I will let you know how it goes! Then if my truck explodes you will know what not to do..... haha!
