it could be the external o-ring on the distributor - that is an easy fix take about an hour or so.
If you see it leaking from the weep hole on the bottom of the distributor, it is most likely the internal seal on the Distributor driveshaft - it can successfully be replaced in your garage workshop.

If you just replace the O-ring one tip while the distributor is out and in your hand, do not use Carb/Brake/Throttle body cleaner on the inside of the distributor where the wiring is located to clean it out and don't spray strong solvents into the open slits on the narrow section of the housing, that can flow to the shaft seal and damage it. IMHO CRC QD electronics cleaner or contact cleaner is safer to use The stronger or more aggressive solvents can/will damage the bearing and shaft seals which are already 30 years old.
