Dissent Rear and Swing Arm Bike Racks? (1 Viewer)

Literally did exactly that after having my rack swing open with bikes on 2x on the freeway. no worries any more.
Curious to know when your swing-out, swung out, was it latched properly? Was the rubber bump stop adjusted properly?

On all my swing outs, not just Dissent, I've thought it would be a good idea to have a warning light on the dash. Even a buzzer would be easy. At camp, the swing-arms are often open but the hatch closed... it's easy to imagine driving off with the passenger side swing-arm open. Haven't done it yet though (cross fingers).

With a couple bikes on the rack, you can push the rack fully closed but the handle has enough friction that it wont fully engage unless you push it pretty firmly. Adding the pin is really a reminder to ensure its closed and latched.
