Thanks for the info ... they also have a brand new 2003 Sequoia SR5 sitting on the lot. I'll have to drive by there and personally check out this new-used inventory.

I think you could have avoided your credibility being questioned early on... here's a link to their Web site:

Strange how they're commingling brand new 2004s and 2005s using the "new" and "pre-owned" inventory search. If you search using "pre-owned" they disclose the mileage, colors, price, etc. If you use "new" it provides just a stock number.

Don't tel them that, hook in for a even better deal and then send Carlo some green in the mail for Xmas! The dealers will surely get a rebate from the factory to get rid of the old stock, there is a lot of cream on the cake (in OZ at least), more than they will let on, I purchased my 2003 TD LC100 brand new off the boat at 10,000 less than RRP. I worked hard to get it though, but they savings were better in my pocket than theirs.

I was looking for a new LC when I moved to SW Utah. Called the local Toyota dealer in St. George Utah and they stated they have not had a new LC in inventory in years. Said there was no demand for them.

The problem with a new 04 Landcruiser is that as soon as you title it, it becomes used and only worth what an 04 is worth. I don't mean to offend anyone looking but you could buy a used one with low miles for MUCH less than 13k off sticker. My friend in Naples is driving an 03 LX470 with 30k that he paid 40K for. I have been on the oposite side of the coin on this as a boat manufacturer and Lenders would only loan 80% of current book value. I know cars are different but its still a 2 year old truck.

It depends on the buyer. Some may not want to buy used. They may want the full factory warranty and that new car smell. It's all in what you want.

I stopped and checked out a 06 in No Idaho last week and the price was MSRP + $4500 market adjustment. No dealing on it.

That is friggin nuts - I have inquired around the Southeast and you can usually get 2-3% over invoice w/o much haggling.

Aren't you guys being a bit harsh on a new member? He got a new LC and is (was) probably feeling sky high.
Fact is the suv market is rock bottom so he got the deal he was happy with. As the Prez would say, It's worth what you're willing to pay for it.

If it's a late 04, it's a year old. In the scheme of things, it sounds like a solid deal to me.
