Hi MAZZU...

I'm from Portugal too, so, you can send me an email or add me to MSN Messenger and i can try to help you (In Portuguese).... my email and MSN Messenger is xicofig@hotmail.com
Where in Portugal are you located?

PS: I'm writing in English, because it's really bad for the others not understanding what i am saying if i do it in my own language...

Bom dia! (It's morning here in Queensland, which is a good thing because that's all the Portuguese I know). Guys, as far as I'm concerned, write away in Portuguese right here. In my opinion, it's better to see the tech help in an unfamiliar language than to not see it at all :) I'd like to learn a little ... both Portuguse and power steering...

David

Sta buon Mazzu!

I think you could look at land rover ,since theses in the eighties had VM engines, but i have heard many horor stories about thoses VM engines, and also about land rover steering pumps!

Bye.

Max.

The engine that cames with BJ73 (VM engine) in Portugal is a 2.500cc, 5 cylinder turbo. It has 5 individual cylinder heads and the engine is not too famous for being reliable. Older models of some Range Rovers, the ones that says TURBO in the tailgate, uses the same engine (99% sure of that). The ones that says Tdi uses 200tdi or 300tdi Rover engines. So you can try to get a steering pump from an older Range Rover if they are the same or if it can be addapted.

OZCAL: You can say "Boa noite" wich is the portuguese word for "Good Night", and "Power steering" in portuguese is "Direçao Assistida", and "Power steering pump" is "Bomba de direçao assistida". Any more words don´t hesitate to ask...

Yes it right, it's a pump to help the drive to turn

Hey...that's a pic of my truck. :D It doesn't look quite like that anymore, but that's the way she looked when I first saw her at the docks fresh from Japan.

Man. Makes me wish I actually read my Learning Portugues book.
Braucht jemand Hilfe auf Deutsch?
Of course, most Germans seem to speak better English than us Mercans do.
