ARB use to have them, $250-ish. Slee might have something as well, maybe some Rover vendors.

I have a 48" black (now red) and a 60" red (now crusty, soon red again). Have used both without any hitches (but with a LOT of care, I hate these necessary evil jacks)

Hate 'em? I thought people slept with their Hi-lifts when their wives weren't around.

As far as care goes, I would think that a good 30w oiling when the jack is new and periodic high-pressure washes to hose out the grit -- followed with a good baking in the sun and generous sprays of WD-40 (which less grit would stick to) every so often -- would do it. I'm a fool about oiling everything, though.

Here is my airbag jack. It weighs less than 12lbs and everything (bag, pipe, patch kit, gloves) fits in a included duffle bag. This one is a 8 ton (8000 kg) unit. Sorry for the bad picture. I'll try to get another picture in the daylight if there is any interest.

How do you get the cone to seal on the diagonally cut exhaust pipe on the 80? I was having problems on my 80 but it works fine with the straight cut pipe on my 60.

I may have a contact for 4.2 ton air jack for less than $160. Made in China  looks identical to the one in the picture except the grafics are different. it is supposed to be the supplier for Land Rover. Mine has a defective inflator hose and am waiting on a replacement. If all works out in the end I’ll forward the contact on.

I use Slip Plate on my Hi Lifts to keep em working, I just spray it on the moving parts, it dries like paint, but has graphite(I think) in it, been working very well for many years, every few months I spray freesh coat on.

ARB markets the Bushrager Exhaust Jack... retails ~$282, smart shoppers pay ~$200 :D

My jack is still brand new in the bag. Never gotten stuck enough to use it though.

The 8 ton unit cost a little more (like ~$30) than the 4.2 ton unit. I like the extra margin of safety the 8 ton unit provides.

I think I paid less than $160 for my 8 ton unit.

Grainger had it as does John Deere Tractor dealers.

I had a Hi Lift that was a rustly mess, I sprayed Kroil and Toypeen on it, it freed up, then I used degreaser to get the lube off, then hit it with compressed air, then painted it with Slip Plate...works like a charm

Never hoid of it; I'll look it up. For that first coat, the jack would probably have to be oil-free.

Regarding the cast versus stamped, I have the stamped lift point. The stamped deosn't have as much of a lip on the end to keep something from slipping off, but it works fine. 17 years and going strong.

I don't know how you guys can keep these jacks nice looking.
Whenever I use it, it peels more paint from the mast and of course anywhere I touch something. This red paint is some sort of flaky PoC...

I recently wire wheeled and painted my Hi Lift, and yes, the factory paint is terrible. They don't seem to use any type of primer, just a thin topcoat. It might be so that the paint doesn't bind up the operating parts. Ignoring that thought, I used self etching primer, and rustoleum black so that the jack would look nice mounted to the outside of the Troopy.
