Just bought some regular Redline 75W90 (6qts) and I am going to do both the rear and the front just for piece of mind. It’s been over a year since last change. I might do the transfer this week as well. I will send the sample off to BL and explain everything and see what they say.Water will settle to the bottom, not the top.
I think draining and refilling is a good idea.
Keep that sample and see if it continues to settle, more for curiosity/ future reference.
Would that be at the diff/driveshaft connection? If so, not seeing any leaking/spraying from there at all.Pinion seal leaking spraying back on the rest?
Cheers
Drain, refill, operate for a day or so, drain refill and call it good.Well, here is the sample at 36 hrs later. I can see up close a thin line on top which could be water separation. I am going to drain and refill today. Any thing else I should do? Would a drain and refill 2-3x be necessary?

I just drained and refilled both front and rear diffs with Redline 75W90. I also removed front and rear diff breather barbs(?) that screw into the diff and blasted both with brake and parts cleaner. Everything is back together and torqued to spec. I took it for a short drive and there were no issues.I don’t see any water. I’d drain and refill and drive it 12 months. Don’t stress about it either, diffs are super tough and just need oil and they’ll go.
