Diesel 4Runner?

If your buddy is still looking, we've got diesel 4runners here in Costa Rica. All over the place.
I was just looking at classifieds today and there are several available at around 20K. That will buy you a late 90's model.

The newest are 3.0 Turbo. Amazing motor. Amazing. FAST, quiet, barely use any fuel at all.
But they are spendy.

Anyhow
I have been itching to drive back to the states for a while now, fun trip. I was planning to buy an HJ45 for the trip and sell it off up there. If someone wants me to buy a 4Runner or other newer vehicle (and is willing to put up the purchase money), I'd be happy to drive that up instead.

How you get it legal is not something that I have any experience nor interest in.

he's actually on business in Panama, so I told him what to look for. I don't know if he has the time to look though.
