Detailing your rig

When I want to sell it, I'll have it detailed by the illegal aliens down the road. In the meantime, Trader Joe's surface cleaner everywhere inside and vacuum when the kids' cookie leftovers become too invasive. I like it dirty outside, especially mosquito squash. Looks manly.;p
Footnote: 10 years ago I used to drive a beaten-up car with 250 k on the odo, but very reliable. Although I was anal on maintenance and interior cleanliness, I never washed it outside. I got arrested half a dozen times by the cops and got no ticket ever:lol:
But my excuse is that I parked on a street full of hookers waiting for their clients. They sat on cars. Not on mine.:D

operation hood restore 012 (Medium).webp

for cleaning the bay, use deep purple cleaner from autozone, than hit the entire thing with some wd-40, looks good, and lasts long, plus inhibits rust on your engine parts. works for me, and my friend owns a detailing business, thats where i got the idea

I havent tried this myself but my father-in-law uses gun cleaner (in a spary can) in the engine bay of his cars. He is very meticulous. When he details his cars, he removes each lug nut and individually polishes them. He even hand polishes his push mower. I want him to do my LX next time he comes to visit but he only likes Fords :frown:
