Hi, Do you de pin on the round headlight plastic Toyota fj60 connectors (these are the female part) form the wire side or the plug in light side ? What tool have you found to work the best to release the pins? Thanks, Mike
 
Here is the ‘tool’ that I use. Old throwaway windshield wiper blade, grind it down a bit. Works great.

As to which end…I can’t really remember for sure, but when you have the tool in your hand and look into the connector, it’s very easy to see what to do and at which end.

Looking at my own pictures, I’m pretty sure you come at it from the wire end.
 
I’m not experienced at all with this de Pinning.
 
It’s extremely easy & should take less than 30 seconds…get after it.👍👍
 
I know I will. I also bought a control assembly from a mud member and it’s bad so I’m looking for another.
