Hard Rock *AND* Radio Tech Session - 6/30?

I'm proposing we do some camping and trail riding on 6/29 - 6/31 at Hard Rock. My dad can come by on the 30th to join the trails (he's never been in my truck offroad) and to share some info on mobile rigs. I'm sure he'll bring more than a few examples on/in his van.

I may even have my technician's licence by then, but that's not the point here.

Hopefully this is enough time for everyone to make good plans so we can have a good showing.

So - who's in?

I'm going to go to AES and take the technician test on 5/8. I already seem to know the answers to the questions - I suppose I should considering I grew up looking up to a ham!

Anyway, my dad said he'd be interested in doing something on the 30th of June if that works for everyone, maybe at Hard Rock? I've got another thread for that - let me know if you're interested...

They are a hard combination to beat, wheelbase, weight, and physical size makes an awesome combo. Watching the FATT guys flog the crap out of them is definately a blast.

Gator - feel free to advertise that my dad will be at HardRock on the 30th. A ham since 1954 and antenna designer, he knows a thing or two about the radios, frequency and use for ham radio

yea i just checked can't take off that weekend if thats what ur talking about. so i'll still be going 6/30 theres about 5 fj cruisers going.

i'am plan on coming up on saturday around 10 am. i do plan on camping so i'll also be riding sunday. i just called they said they have no events planned so we r good to go.
i really didn't want to drive 4 hours then get turned around.
it' sounds like saturday would be the day for everyone to get together. for the people that just want to wheel for one day and not camp. if not i'll be there sunday to

Yes you do have to be careful about which weekend you go to Hard Rock... I almost forgot about that.
