The Rubithon thing I never knew...... I had to ask..... WHY???

So we are part of a national cub that has one event it sends money to and supports without a budget or receiving part of it profits back.......WOW, so does this allow all the other events to do the same......

Nope.... we all just send money to TLCA for hosting our own damn events and dont' get jack from TLCA to help make it a go. Flat Nasty almost didn't happen this year (for various reasons) but TLCA doesn't kick any money in to help the clubs break even much less put money into the clubs account. Rubicon doesn't even have to answer to the BOD for the money they spent. Wouldn't some TLCA money help y'all buy some cool stuff for your raffle?

Heck Mike I'm thinking back to the very first SCC...... we were counting pennies to make sure we could pay everyone and everything...... 26 rigs WE WERE PROUD!
Had a great raffle & WE (CLC) did it all.......

Do the Rubithon folks get money from TLCA to put the event on?

They don't give a % back to TLCA like all the clubs who put events on do.......?
If not why do we support this & let it go on:confused::confused:

Where does the money go......... if they turn a profit (I assume ) then each year they should re-invest into the event next year. Making it a self sustaining event;)

Seems like dirty pool:meh:

It is definitely a self-sustaining gig ... they have their own accounts.

Some profits are indeed turned over to TLCA and they go into the budget ... and most of the TLCA budget is to sustain Toyota Trails.

But there is no budget submited or balance sheets or nothin' to the BOD. It's taken on a life of it's own and has no over sight from the BOD.

:flamingo:

Stir, stir and stir some more. Way too much complacency in the last year since we all decamped. With a whole bunch of new folks coming on board, I think you picked a fine time.

Not sure what you said yet. Gotta get over to that other thread and see what's up.

I got a hunch its got Kowboy written all over it!
