Sorry for your loss. It was probably just some punks that don't give a d... about anything. I am older than most you guys on this site, and I call tell if this country continues to decline like it has in the last ten years we are all in trouble.

Where's the best place to commit a crime? In a place where people feel they are immune from it, like a gated community. PLus, people in gated communities can have scumbag kids, too.

Sorry this happened to you. I don't know what colorado is like, but where I live things like this happen to foreign cars quite often. This is a heavy UAW area, and the scowls I get driving my cars around can be pretty harsh. My friend owns a gorgeous Mercedes C240 Kompressor and a nice Volvo S70 T5. He never drives them to work at the chrysler factory for fear of having them vandalized, and leaves them in the garage at all times.
People who do such things are the scum of the earth, I have no tolerance for theives or people who destroy other people's property.

I bet if you went by the high school that the kids in that hood attend or local rival high school, there would be a cruiser that is very similar to yours. I might of been a case of mistaken cruiser identity.

Sorry to hear about this... I know that this will not help now, but for the future benefit of others... (In Texas) you can get liability and comprehensive coverage without collision coverage. Comprehensive, as you have stated, will handle hail, vandalism, theft, etc... basically anything that does not involve movement of the vehicle into another object. "Comp" is usually pretty cheap. You would be suprised how expensive it is to fix these old trucks!
Do you know what would happen to you in the US if that happened, you would lose your truck, poss your house and anything you value, dude that is sooooo f&^%ing hilarious and satisfying, but you'd be screwed to the wall for it here. Echo on the decline of western civ.60Broughy said:
