Howdy,

I’m about to drain and pull the LRA 24 gallon auxiliary fuel tank out of my 99 470. I’ve had this in two different 470’s over the past few years and used this over tens of thousands of miles. It’s awesome to be traveling on the highway and just hit a button when you get down to 1/4 tank, have it fill back up, and keep on going. It’s also great to fill up before a multi day wheeling trip and not have to fill up again until the end. Along with the tank, bracket, switch, pump, and lines, I’m also including the factory filler neck already trimmed to fit the new filler top and to make installation easier. This is pretty much every part you’ll need for install and will soon be ready to go. I should have it emptied and dropped this next week. $1,500 and here’s some pics (sorry for all the mud):

I could also help with delivery as well if needed and around the 270/495 area in MD. Any questions, let me know.

Thanks,
Ki

Parting out this 470 build. Moving some items onto another build I’ve been working on, and the rest is going up for sale.

Potentially interested, I’m in NoVa so local enough. Did you have it professionally reinstalled in the 2nd 100 it was in, or is it straightforward with the filler neck already cut?

I installed both times myself and the hardest part I feel is cutting the factory fill pipe. Maybe removing the spare tire bracket of its rusty, but not having to modify the factory fill pipe will save time for sure. I might have some pics from original install somewhere but it’s no different than reading instructions.

Got tank drained and everything pulled today. Sorry for the mud. I didn’t make it to car wash after last few trips. 😬 The darker spots are from power lube and the brown spots are, well, mud. Wiring and switch not pictured, but pulled and ready.
