Is there any way to turn off the daytime running lights I realize that they are the high beam bulbs and I've already burnt out a set of high quality high output bulbs.
Thanks in advance.

I think this can be controlled via techstream it has been a couple years since I looked at that menu.
Maybe it was the nav . . .

There's also a hardware way to do it.

There's a resistor block about the size of a pack of cards. It's on the passenger side behind the headlight near the power steering reservoir. You'll recognize it as it looks like a heat sink with a metal perforated shroud around it. Unplug it and that will disable the DRLs.

It’s in the settings. Menu button will get you there.

That resistor is not there with the '13-15 upgrade.

You can easily disable the DRLs in the Settings menu. I have mine shut off, I usually run with markers on during the day.

^Good point. I don't believe the pre-'13 models has that soft setting.

^Thanks for the clarification and I stand corrected. I permanently disabled my DRLs as I use a high lumen LED bulb in that position. So I choose to remove the resistor.

What year do you have? Looking to do this for my 06, and wondering if it involves the same resistor, or if I'm pulling wires under the dash (or have to take somewhere w a techstream).

If you have techstream you can use that on an 06. I did it on my cousin's 06 a couple months ago with techstream.
