Data Plan for smart phones question like a newb

I have a cell phone. Its good at being a phone. I can make phone calls. However, its dumb, 5 years old, low battery life now and I'm ready for a new phone.

How much data do you use? How much do you use your phone?

I'm staying with Verizon, and thinking about the LG Lucid, my current phone is an LG too.

Verizon is doing the double data still. so 4 gig for $30

I never use anywhere close to that. When I'm home I use the wireless network. I dont stream music all the time, but I think you'd be able to and still not hit 4 gig.

I stay under 2gb/mo w/o issue.... and use it all day.

Thanks guys. I don't plan on living on the thing, all my friends who have smart phones have a 2G plan and have had no issues.
