Dash lights not going out on start up suggests the alt isn’t providing enough juice to the battery. (It’s normal the dash lights to stay on for a few seconds until the battery recovers).
I would double check the new install - something is amiss.

I deleted my comment because it wasn’t relevant… in the end. I had misread the issue. Sorry

Alternator charging OK. I am thinking a problem with the charge light relay circuit.
Not sure what you mean re charge light relay circuit. But that would just be one light, not all the dash lights, no?

There are 2 kinds of regulators for these things. So when I had mine rebuilt I had to swap the regulator. I have an old post somewhere here about it.

My apologies, it is an internally regulated alternator. I will edit the post.
The alternator regulators I did share are both internal regulators. Basically one type is ecu/computer controlled. And the other one is not.
