Alright guys, its about that time.

I blew up my front diff on my 1978 Chevy a few weeks ago, and have been saving money to do the full rebuild. I have already purchased the Warn Premium hubs.

I'm looking for imput on what to do next. I'm wanting a locker, so I am thinking Aussie locker.

What else should I do while im in there? Trying to keep things to a pretty tight budget, but still do things quality.

Lay it on me!

Mill the axle ears (where the u-joints sit) to accept snap rings instead of c-clips. Get one of those fancy cast aluminum diff covers that put a mild pre-load on the bearing caps.
