Evening all. I just had a good used motor put in an LX I picked up, in addition to my ‘94 LC.

Right off the bat it experienced a misfire in 3 & 4. I figured maybe bad fuel or something along those lines. But wasn’t sure since it was just those two. I swapped plug wires and checked all that this afternoon, hoping I wouldn’t have to pull the manifold, but it made no difference.

I was looking back in there in preparation for the dreaded task and found out why 3 (and I assume 4) is misfiring… the injector is unplugged. Idk how it happened, but it’s a real bummer.

Unless… has anyone been able to get a hand in there and plug one in without taking it all apart, or does anyone see that even happening?

Couple weeks back. Just now digging into it, been working so much I haven’t had a chance to mess much with it until now.

@mjosoba - I'm chasing a similar issue, have you been able to track down the source of the misfire yet?

Hey, yes, I did. I took off the front portion of the manifold, instead of the entire thing. Thankfully. Got 3 & 4 plugged back in. Running like a top. Didn’t even need to replace the injectors.
