I saw that when first posted on Jalopnik. Very well done. That W Van constable didn't look too good, always be careful when a camera is pointed your way! My only disagreement is I'm an advocate of ICBC. I'll take internet hell for that, but I have my reasons. That being said, unfortunately it's the politically correct and motivated that gather all the air time.
Is there not a public discussion in BC now to raise highway speeds? I've been away, just getting 'news' now for a while.

Logic has it when you raise the limit people will still drive over that posted limit.
Even on the new highway from Parksville to CR the limit is 110 and people think its okay to drive at 120 or 130 until that deer or bear jumps up onto the highway I have had several close encounters travelling that stretch luckily my LC likes doing just below the 110 and has good brakes but there is lots of carnage on that highway every time I travel it.....solution put up a 5 meter fence for the entire distance of the highway or shot all the wildlife so people can drive at 130 kph.

There are always people who will speed, as much as there are people who purposefully drive slow so as to be 'speed police', or block the 'fast lane' through ignorance. The speeds on secondary roads seem to need revision I feel. The good news I guess is that there is at the very least an open discussion to change.

I think that was a spot on video with stats to back it up. ICBC is a scam, they suck you dry. There are good insurance ideas in other provinces that they should use, for example in Ontario my trailer was covered under the vehicle that it was towing, not additional insurrance for it. Also what I would really like to see happen is no more parents teaching kids how to drive, make driving schools mandatory!
