Ok guys so im thinking of making almost all of the hardware for my SAS that will be coming up in the next month or two.

at the moment im running all pro's 4" rear suspention and the rear springs are getting mighty settled in.

So what I was thinkng was buy a new set of rear springs from all pro, swap them into the back. Then take the old rear springs and mount them in front. To do this I will have to extend the frame forward but thats no prob. Front springs tend to be smaller than rear springs for some reason so maybe ill have to take a leaf or two out of the pack??? dono but if im going this way ill just have to figure it out when it comes up.

also I was thinking of runnin johnny joints on the shackles like I have on my rear suspention. I have never seen this done on the front before, closest thing I can think of is orbit eyes springs with a similar joint in the front where the spring is located. any scary reason you guys can think of not to try this out?

everything else has been done before so its just "copying" other peoples designs for spring hanger and crossover steering. I may have to buy some knuckles, I gotta ask my boss if I can get some time on his milling machine and if so ill just make em myself and ill make em beefy!

thoghts?
comments?

...just no negetive ones :flipoff2:

Jeez guy tell me what you really think... =P

I definatly would drive tentativly at first, but any theorys of why exactly it might fail catasrofically???

It's gonna be pretty floppy on the road, make sure you have a good sway bar. Rear springs up front and chevy springs in the rear alone make a tall toyota lean pretty hard around a corner if going even a little too fast. At this point I thinking you are stretching a little and might want to consider the coilover route. Not to mention if they are the longer all-pro springs they are what, like 56 inches long? Have fun making that front spring hanger, youll probably have to make new shackles mounts through the frame as well. Good luck to ya!

Now THIS... is just the challenge I was hoping for.
