I picked up a couple of warn 8274 winches a couple months back for a great price. Why buy one when you can have two at twice the price? But really, I am a sucker for a deal and these were a steel. Sometimes you just get lucky.
So one is going on my FJ-60 and sence I want a heavy duity bumper on my 1992 pickup I am thinking of building a bumper for it and puting the other one on my pickup. ya it is a lot of winch for that little truck but it is what I have. Unless I can find another lopro winch like a M8000 for cheap.
So has anyone seen it done? and does anyone have any pictures of one on a pickup?
I saw this one on a jeep (I know, I know, I am not a fan either), you just have to picture it on a 1992 pickup. But it got me thinking. I could make somthing like this that would mount low to the frame x-member and come up at the sides for a better aproach angle and clearence to the tires. I might have to take out the grille to keep the winch from sticking too far out.
I am looking for ideas, so if you have a custom made cool bumper or even a good priced aftermarket one throw up some pictures to geve me some ideas.
