You say it cruises at 60...but power to run I-15 at 75mph? I am not familiar w/ the gears in these, so wondering if they're 5.29 ish or if there is a reduction in the portals.

I am not sure I understand the question, but here goes. It will cruise in the Seirra's at 60 without doing the up shift down shift game. You can go faster than 60 but it will be harder on the engine due to more RPM's and you will see a big drop in mileage. As for gearing there is 2 different ring and pinion ratio's one will give you a final drive ratio of 5.99 and the other (the one's in my cruiser) are 7.20. The 5.99 are less common.

As I understand this, the 7.2 is the final ratio which is the R&P combined with the further reduction from the portalhousings at the ends of the axle housings. (I believe most portals have some reduction in them before the stub axles) The old VW buses from the late 50's and early 60's had gear reduction portals in them...on the old swing arm style suspension.

The sweet part about the 7.2 is that you can run those 37" tires or even 39's :):hhmm::clap:

11K Seems like a pretty fair price, I can't imagine what it would cost to do such a conversion let alone the price of the axles alone. I'm sure somebody with some spare $$ will be very happy with this rig.

This rig has more ground clearance and flex on any DD capable Crawler that I have ever seen. The price is SO tempting.

Somebody put me out of my misery and buy this thing please.:bang:

Oh man, if they end up making mine non-op, I might be giving you a call. What size wheels do you have to run on it?
