Hi everyone,

I hope you are all staying safe and healthy.

I use to own a 2016 LC 200, but had to sell it when I moved back to NYC. I loved it except for the spngy brakes, like I loved it and had saved and planned for years to get it.
I now own a T4R TRD PRO in Army green which I love as well but its not a LC! As great as it is, the LC is the ultimate SUV.

So now my question. We have all heard rumors about the new 300 series but who knows when it comes out here in the USA.

That being said my question to the group is:

Is the Land Cruiser different when it comes to new redesigned models in as a buyer not buying the first year and waiting for 2nd year for them to get the little things right?
Would you guys buy a brand new 300 right from the start or would you wait for the 2nd year?

Is the QC of the LC exempt from most problems first years cars/suv see when they first come to market?
I can be honest and tell you while I think the new ford bronco is going to be a cool SUV there is 0 chance I would buy it the first year, but thats just me.

So what do you guys think about buying the new LC when it comes out or would you wait as per my question above.

Thanks everyone, have a great weekend.

My ‘08 is first of the 200’s. No big issues.

I would have zero concerns buying a first-year version of a new LandCruiser generation. We are talking about toyota's very best engineered vehicle.. that says a lot.

To answer your question in a different way. I would buy a used Land Cruiser before I would buy a new any other make vehicle. So certainly, I would buy the first model year new Land Cruiser without any reservations. The Land Cruiser, is hands down, the best SUV ever built.

I bought my Land Cruiser used almost 100,000 miles ago. Other than routine maintenance, it has never failed me. Based on my current Cruiser, I would buy a new 300 any time.

To be sure of everything, the best way is to wait for LC300 facelift........just another 10 years or so......not long wait at all.

Although the LC is designed and tested to be bullet proof, real world testing generally finds any flaws. I'd take a 3rd year model over a 1st year if I had the choice.

In my country, all vehicle tax are based on the displacement. Therefore the price of current LC and LX are very very high.
For example, a LC 200 4.6 L will be around 200k USD, and the LX 570 350k USD.
So when LC 300 out, I guess the price will be much lower due to smaller engine. Well, I'll buy it right away.
