July 2015 Meeting Recap:
Trucks in Attendance: Four 80's, two LX450's, one 100, one 200, one FJ, one Tacoma, one 55 (1978).
New Members/First timers: Hank @Hank Tank (owner of the 55) and Patrick @TexAZ (with Cameron his 3 year old son) owner of the 200 (2008). Hank also has a LX570 in his garage.
Hank told us about an organization he helps out with, the Mens Art Council. They put on the Copperstate 1000 road race every year. This years they are going to do an overland rally. More information www.copperstateoverland.com.
@Rudster recapped the June ROTM and the May ROTM. The subject was brought up about trying to make the Casner Mountain run an annual event. @brices123 said he would look into obtaining a permit and how far out it can be obtained. @Pitch will be consulted.
@Taco Charlee told us about July's ROTM to Mt. Ord. Specifics can be found in that tread.
@LandCruiserPhil mentioned the thought about CopperState Cruisers adopting the Mt. Ord trail. He will be looking into the specifics on how we can go about adopting the trail.
No one volunteered for an August ROTM, so we are open for suggestions.
@LandCruiserPhil mentioned he might be planning a trip to Mexico in October. More details to follow.
@Rudster will be posting some photos later. The 55 was very nice looking. @Hank Tank left early, so we did not get a chance for a full inspection.
