Living in the Past
SILVER Star
Pretty sure a lot of you have seen this add, but maybe I have aged just a bit. Foam seat comfort at 85 mph?
Seen this before a few time. My 68 was six years old when I bought it. Driver seat cushion was shot. Frame on the passenger seat was badly bent. Had a small piece of 2x4 holding the back upright. Located a passenger seat in So. CA. Just did a cheap recover on the driver's seat. Finally picked up some bucket seats from a 74. Actually not as bad even with flat springs. My 70 the original owner had the seats covered with some robust covers. Obviously did nothing for the springs and cushions. If I decide too keep it will address that. In my opinion the 73-78 buckets seats were the best ever offered in the 40 series. 79+ were better originally but not that robust. Hinge where the back folds is weak.
