As far as the Skids go if you include the oil pan skid there is a lot more coverage from the rocks and the branches or roots that you might encounter on a trail.
The 13mm head bolts are a bit of a thorn in my side. I can't find 12mm head bolts, and I always include a full set of hardware. Maybe I should file the heads down so a 12mm wrench fits...
I have beaten the s*** out of Jason's sliders and transfer skid since our massive 2010 fall rod trip... not so much as a single issue with product or transaction.
His basic design with my spec for swings. It has three swings. 35" spare, rotopax for chainsaw fuel, hand washing water, highlift, ladder, and panel that I still haven't added my quick fists to. Its meant for shovel and axe. Modified slightly by me when I got it for my preferred shackle system for safety chains for towing. Powder coated in zinc primer and then fine texture black
i have his transfer case for a couple years now, then bumped my transmission so bought the transmission skid last year ,and find them totally usefull and well worth the money. actually changed my driveing style,to be a little more crawler type with the extra protection. i actually mounted a third battery up inside the t/c skid. dont think you could do better for a bolt on . ya he makes some good stuff ,and ive seen pretty much all his products in action without fail over and over again. kind of nice he's a local guy for me for sure.
