Hello fellas by no means is mine a show case but ha its mine and paid for
. I got this pos back in September(flea bay) thinking (or so was told) its a fine ride just needs some carb work and a window switch. I will show you what I need and tell you what has been done already.
Feel free to point out something you don't like or something that is not even OEM for example the suspension in the front end something seems off other than the perches being wrong. This is my first solid axle carbed mini. I really love this little thing. I have been averaging 23 mpgs...and that's what matters.
At least I was blessed with a rust free ride. On the east coast that is damn hard. Some of these pictures I am about to post surly will bring the suck but when the rain stops today I will post some better ones
.
AND YES THE OLD LADY SAID THE VISER WAS STAYING
Ok being serious now.
The prior owner installed a 8 inch lift kit. (where do you get one that big for one of these?) The rig has 35 inch Mud King XT's..which I have not seen in many years.
The things I have replaced/or done as followed...
Rebuilt the rear end completely. Stayed with OEM axles but replaced the third with spooled 4:88's
Rebuilt the front end completely also replaced 3rd with spooled 4:88 gear set. I also installed 30 spline Longfields.
Replaced the brakes completely!
Thanks to a certain mudder for sending me the complete air cleaner assembly which it was missing or hacked.
Lowered the rear end down 2 inches Gawd that looked horrible being that high in the rear!
When I got her home only lights the worked on the exterior was the headlights. So I had to work from scratch there.
Also Had to replace multiple window switches on the inside including the rear window which I wired from scratch also.
I also have a long travel drive shaft kit for the front..not yet installed
You will notice the front bumper is lowed 2 inches. That was a must with WV modified sticker laws. The lifted rigs bumper must be no higher than 31 inches. THAT bumper will be gone soon.
This motor was rebuilt (not by me but buy some past owner in the last 8k) by Grooms Engines Grooms Engines - Remanufactured Engines I was informed it was bored 30 thousands over which would explain why I have so much more power
. The same owner also put a new carb on but the project stopped there.
Then a young kid got a hold of it
. Anyway I had to go back and fix all the hacks. There was antifreeze leaking everywhere, fuel leaking out of the lines at the carb and at the fuel pump, the pvc was INSIDE THE VALVE COVER....I s*** you not.
Somebody was nice enough to install a new top shift.... 5 speed/transfer and dual MagnaFlow exhaust system which SOUNDS SWEET.
Unfortunately the carb was so hacked pieces are missing so I will replace it with a Weber more than likely. I have also de-smogged the rig except for the EGR which is coming up soon.
Things to come in the next month or so
Complete new steering system with high output power steering pump
Crossover steering kit
Steer assist kit
IFS box
Weber carb and snorkel and a paint job
