Aright, ladies and gentlemen this is fast approaching. Are we yodeling?
Cruiser days always has had a (long) day trip-able camp night following cruiser days then with an extended option. if we yodel, Churn creek (camp spot 1) is quite a trek from Abby, that's a pretty serious drive following cruiser days. This trip will be a few days, especially if we have a bunch of trucks. We need to make a decision on time limitations. Luckily, there are a few options to get out early IF needed. We also need to be cautious of weather, windy ridge is a no go if raining, we will cross this bridge close to and make alternative plans if necessary.
A few ideas, keep in mind we may be able to make better time than this, it will depend of amount of people, capabilities, and if we run into anything exciting. I would give yourself this much time though, just incase issues arise. keep in mind Kim and I cleared from churn to roscoe in 8 hours and we doubled back for a missing tire carrier, if conditions are the same, we could potentially clear churn to top in windy ridge in a single day but roscoe lake is a beauuuty camp spot. As a group we need to decide how hard we want to push, whom has time, etc. Leave no cruiser behind!
My vote is option 1 or 2, I booked the week off. Open to other suggestions as well!
option 1
day 1- cruiser days followed by a camp spot 3-4 hours from abby not to far off route to Clinton.
day 2- camp site to churn creek
day 3- churn to roscoe lake *potential long day*
day 4- roscoe, windy ridge, poison, potentially start of China head * potential exit for those crunched for time Via Yalokom fsr into Lillooet*
day 5- China head and out to the ferry, find camp for the night, or head home. approx 8 hour drive back to lower mainland after a day of driving.
day 6- drive home from final camp.
option 2
day 1- cruiser days followed by a camp spot 3-4 hours from abby not to far off route to Clinton.
day 2- stop in at churn creek but carry on past. There are multiple locations past churn, corral rec site, black dome has 4 or 5 marked camp sites, or find a spot along the trail. I can think of a few flat spots we came across.
day 3- continue on the trail to yodel cabin and then roscoe lake, potentially keep going and do windy ridge as well. find some where to camp up on the plateau. *potential long day*
day 4- Poison, China head and either camp French creek or cross the ferry and camp big bar or ?
day 5- Drive home
option 3

day 3-poison mountain, China head and out the ferry. either camp french creek if behind schedule, but try to get across to big bar rec site or?
day 4- Jesmond lookout if people are interested and or just head straight home. Franz had a back road route from here last time that broke the day up a bit.
