While driving 45mph through Las Vegas I-15 construction zone, a semi truck right in from of me lost it's spare tire. With the kinda heavy traffice and the K-Rail I was able to straddle it in the road way but it ended up hitting the tongue jack on my trialer. It bent the crap out of my trailer jack and then took off like a pin ball and smacked my passenger side trailer fender. End result, the fender bent into the tire and I shredded a trailer tire.

I stopped at the TA truckstop and unbent the trailer fender and changed the trailer tire and fueled up. I think everybody knows what a bent jack looks like as well as a bent trailer fender and a shredded tire so I didn't take any pics.

They had a set of scales there so I decided to get the assy weighed. I rolled across the scales. I about crapped myself when the weigh ticket came in at 19,400lbs. (The STIHL F450 and show trailer weighs 21,400 when fully loaded.)

I called Mace and he just laughed. He was fighting Bob's Demons.

I'm back on the flat lands and rolling hills between Las Vegas and Barstow.

The storm that went though the central Valley the night before was pushing it's way across the high desert.

You have to look close but the dust being kicked up is at least 2 miles in the air. You can see it pretty good in the bottom picture. Look at the mountains above the dust cloud. I was driving straight into it and experienced the worst head wind I have ever drove into. Top speed, WOT, down hill was 59mph.

Attending Cruise Moab was a great but humbling experienceing for me.

I did not pass tech inspection since I had overlooked a few things. When in camp it seemed silly but when out on the trail, you realize how important those items are.

Looking at the pictures and listening to the stories of the guys in Woody camp, I found out I don't know how to wheel off road with the big boys. When they are doing torque stands and smoking thier tires to get them warmed up and super sticky to climb things, I was out of my league. No tire smoking with a 2F. They pick lines that I would have never thought of. They were climbing some things in thier built rig that I seriously doubt I could climb using hands and feet. Woody's FJ 40 makes everything look easy. Even when Clutchee drives it.

When I was out on the trail, Off Camber takes on a whole new meaning when you can literally spit out your window and it lands 300 feet below in the bottom of the canyon. I think it was amplified by the fact that my left ear never popped when going through the mountians. Equalibrium (sp?) was way off. After chewing two pack of gum, it still never popped.

The guys from the White Trash Elderwood Chapter are a great bunch of guys.

This was the destination of many people who were already out on the trails for 10 days or so. These guys take expeditions serious.

I did not need any of my trail spares, but others did.

I will probably go back in 2011.

Hold your tongue!!! I think my 2F has more HP than woodrow's 350 does :D

We'll get you out to play one of these days.

Moab is a HELL of a lot more fun when there are not so many people. The end of the season will be a great expedition type trip. That place is amazing. 90% of the wheeling can be done with your rig. Easily..

LOL!

And your 2F has what, 85-90 psi compression?
