Day 7, Kane Creek Canyon.

This run is different than all the other Moab trails we had been on so far. Instead of looking down on all the canyons, we were in one looking up. Also the slickrock here was virtually non existent, and it was more like BC wheeling with lots of sand, loose rock, granite, and brush.
It was quite tricky in a few spots, having to squeeze through some large boulders, while off camber, and some large drops down farther into the canyon on the down hill side. It made it quite interesting with a top heavy large rig.

Great pics so far Jeff, nice shot of the Blazer from underneath on Golden Spike. That looked like a butt clincher. I wish I could have went with you guys, the Plateau pics are phenomenal.

You sure made it look easy enough! Great photos and vids!

hanging with CSC gang

After the 6-day Maze run, Greg, Drew, George (Drew's Dad) and I met the Copper State Cruiser CSC gang in Blanding on Saturday before Wednesday the start of CM. We started in the Manti-LaSal National Forest, which is directly south of the Needles District of Canyonlands. They gave us a guided tour - way better than going alone ....

And driving off into a Idaho sunset on the way home.

By the time I found my and installed my recharged batteries, the huge glowing orb that was directly in front of us had already dropped below the horizon, but still not bad, even through the dusty and bug splattered windshield.

When Graham and I passed through Idaho, or think it was Idaho? We were driving on the Hwy and would come across these big cracks in the earth. I think there was water running through them, but it looked like a crack though solid rock with dirt on top of it, kind of an unusual sight. I missed getting a shot of them with my camera. Did you come across them?

that is Drew's addiction - why have just one?

Nice pics and vids, Steiger! Moab is really THE place for outdoor pursuits of all types. I can't wait to go back. You were much smoother on Hells Gate than I was..

Good to see/wheel with you guys again, always a pleasure!

I mentioned the gutted Trasharoo to Kurt, he suggested dropping a note to Trasharoo, they may repair/replace it? Something needs to be done to solve the "saggy drawers" thing that they have going on, better secure them to the tire? :hillbilly:

They say to cross the Trasheroo straps behind the tire - 2 problems with that theory - first, my tire is so closely mounted I can't get my hands behind to connect it behind the tire, and even if i could when the straps are crossed the bottom is narrowed and I can't get my junk to fit ( privacy enclosure/, shower and porti-crapper and related paraphernalia).

Although designed to carry trash - I carry mostly 'other stuff'. Coming back from Moab, I had it filled with 2 weeks of dirty clothes just waiting for the border guard to start poking about. Great deal for space challenged rigs
