it seems like when i set cruise, it goes on the mph i'm at - eg, 62 mph when set.

then, when i increment up or down, it rounds to the nearest 5mph --

-- how can i increment / decrease per 1mph?

thanks!

Push the cruiser control up quickly, don't hold it. If I want to increase 5mpg I flick it up 5 times.

the thing is, i don't hold it -- it just automatically goes up or down in 5 mile increments -- ??
Mine does same if the radar cc is used, but I can go up or down in 1 mph increments with the non-radar cc.

Radar cruise only changes in 5 mph increments. However, you can disable the radar feature by pushing and holding the stalk forward for a couple of seconds before you set the speed. Then it works just like any other cruise control and will increase or decrease speed in 1 mph increments.

As a newish LC owner, this was driving me nuts. I couldn't find this in the owners manual. Glad i found this here so bumping it up for my fellow newbies.

Since this is on topic.. can someone else check to see if theirs occasionally skips certain numbers when scrolling through the speeds?

Mine doesn't always, but maybe one out of five times using the cruise when scrolling up and down to select speed it will skip 67mph. 65, 66, 68, 69, 70, 69, 68, 66, 65, etc... Other times it skips only 71. I am making sure to do this slowly so it isn't accelerating or decelerating past the speed and using a new set speed.

I can live with this quirk but I'm just curious if anyone elses do it, and am sortof trying to understand why. In another thread someone suggested some rounding error in the code, or having to do with a conversion from something like a Hz counter in the control unit to the display of MPH.

13 LC, radar cruise disabled for this test, which is usually how I operate the cruise control.

In my 2013 LC200, in order to increment cruise control set speed by 1mph, radar cc must be disabled AND the vehicle's actual speed must be within 3mph of the currently set cruise control speed.

Example: Radar cruise control disabled, cruise control set at 70mph. As long as vehicle actual speed is within 67-73mph, each flip of the stalk will increment/decrement 1mph. Outside the 67-73mph window the set speed will either not change at all or change in multiple mph increments (e.g. 2,3,4,5mph).

Works every time.

glad I’m not alone in this confusion. And don’t get me started on the rain sensor.

I’ll retry it adjusting slower, but I’m pretty sure all of the above conditions were present. This is a quirk I noticed long ago and it has happened enough times that if it were a >3mph difference thing I probably would have figured it out by now. Also, so far it has ALWAYS been either 67 or 71mph it skips.

Imagine my surprise when I tapped the cruise control expecting to go from 75 to 79 and ended up with 95!

Interesting just got back from road trip in my 2016 LC. I can increment + or - one mph in both radar and no radar mode. The + 5 must be how older models work.
