Crawl Control? Problems?

I think toyota suggests it, but perhaps you are correct you don't have to have the center diff locked.

I use crawl control almost every day just checking perimeters. I never have CDL engaged. I think CDL exacerbates the jerky sensation. Depends on the surface you are on. Also, I find that you can adjust the crawl speed to make it smooth as glass in "most" conditions. It requires a bit of driver engagement even if that is not how they characterize it.
