Has anyone found a source for battery terminal covers for the military spec battery terminals? Having shorted the terminals on a battery before I'd rather not do it again if possible. I've found a variety of covers online, but none of them look like they would fit over the bigger military style terminals, especially once cables are bolted to them. Any leads would be appreciated!

Godwin, thanks for the link. It seems that most vendors have the same sources as they are all selling the three types that Waytek shows.

Googling for "boots" instead of "covers" brought me some more results. I did find something different here, about halfway down.

To continue answering my own question (amazing what happens when you use the right keywords in a search engine!) I also found these options. So many choices :D

VTE Warehouse

Where do you get the military terminals?

Napa sells them.

Edit: part numbers are posted below. I went to Napa's site and searched "military terminal"

That link is broken, do you have a part number by chance?

Wrangler NW - Power Products sells nice covers for their mil spec battery connectors. These are not listed in their catalog, but just call and ask.

I received my order from VTE Warehouse today, which is pretty quick (7 business days) when you include shipping to Canada. Everything was as I ordered, and the quality of the insulators and Mega-fuse holder is nice, not cheap feeling. I ordered the "466 Series Terminal Insulator" (PNs 466N9V02 & 466N9V14), and put them on this afternoon. They fit well and provide great coverage for the terminals and cable lugs, and the material stayed flexible in the -10C weather.

I can't remember the part numbers but you may have got these, I purchased from VTE and had them sent to OZ years ago,
very good quality and lots of good stuff! (Brass military style terminals under these covers)

On the VTE site it has an option for "Cable Entry" 1,2,3, or 9? I'm assuming it's not the "Entry Side" because that's a separate option "left, right, dual or oval"

My battery cables are 1/0 size will i still be able to get the cable through the hole?
