Ok, so I have the opposite problem from the FAQ thread about the door buzzer. So here is what I've got:
I want to make the buzzer work when I turn the ignition off and my headlights are on. I dont know what the previous owners did, but it doesnt work with the headlights or with door open.

But with the key in the switch and if the door is open, the buzzer works.

Problem number 2, the windshield washer fluid pump is not working, previous owner said it started recently and they couldnt track down the electrical bug. I dont know if its the switch on the column or elsewhere. I also havent checked the pump itself. I may find a junk yard pump and go for a push button momentary switch.

Thanks for your help

What vehicle/year are we talking about here? The way I did it was to pull the plug out of the buzzer, and test all the contacts with the key in and out till I found which one was getting power when the key was in, then I cut that wire and found a lead coming from the headlights/illumination circuit. It works great! :D

As for the washer, test at the pump it's self to see if the pump is the problem or if there is no power. Then work back from there, but if it's not the pump, then I'd lean towards the fuse or the switch. Those are more likely than a random wire issue.

Whoops, sorry, I thought I updated my signature line... but I post on so many websites.

I've got an 87 4runner. Thanks for the info, I'll try that.... if it warms up above 30*
