The building way off in the background of the pic below is the Illinois Memorial at the Vicksburg National Military Park. I've walked by it hundreds of times, and it's typically empty. Today, however, there was a small choir inside. The sound from the base of the steps was nearly deafening. This mini Pantheon must somehow amplify voice sound waves at or near the exits...I could still hear them clearly all the way across the battlefield.
