Cost of custom catback?

So I got a quote for a custom catback with a Flowmaster 50 series SUV muffler for $459 with parts and labor. I've never done anything custom before so how does this price sound to everyone? It's basically to cut the stock exhaust after the cats (DS) and then go up and over the t-case/driveshaft then out the back along the frame.

That seems fair to me. I had it done on mine for $350, but that was 4 years ago.
How many miles are on your truck? I'm sure Cali emissions are strict, but you may want to look into replacing your cats while you are having it done. The stock cats will eventually become clogged and begin to hurt your efficiency. They also get leaky and it can be a pain to remove them to fix exhaust leaks. A lot of people have had success with the high flow magnaflow cats, personally I just removed them but I dont have any emission checks in my state. Just my opinion, others may disagree.

~126k on it. Can't remember right off the top of my head for some reason. Cats I think are fine at least emissions wise since I just passed my smog test with flying colors. I rather not replace my cats now since they cost an arm and a leg. I wish I could remove them but living in Cali prevents that... smog check every other year!

sheesh i must have gotten a better deal then i thought, guy did my cat back, new muffler, and cut and turn mod on the cats for $216

I had mine done for just under $400, but they did a lot of custom work to get it all nice and tucked out of the way...

Had mine done for $180.00. Gave him a $20 tip ($200.00 total) because I was so happy with it. Cats removed, exhaust over the frame where it used to go under, Flowmaster knockoff, over the crossmember, over the frame behind rear tire and down at a 45.

And I sold the cats for $80 each. Total investment $40.00!
