I've been watching these tires for some time on both MUD and the interwebs. The reviews from Tacoma/Jeep sites is that they are too stiff but have excellent road manners. I haven't found much on MUD but owners of heavy Cruisers don't complain about the stiff ride as much. That said, I've also read reports that even air'ed down, the sidewalls do not flex much and this can contribute to poor traction on the trails. I've witnessed a 100 series with ST Maxx's struggle to climb up a muddy hill when both an 80 (mine) with Hankook MT's and a FJC with Nitto Trail Grapplers walked right up.
My 2 cents.
BTW, I was planning on buying the 37x12.5x17 and mounting them on Tundra wheels. Both the price, weight, road noise, and tire compound are perfect. I just think there are better choices out there.
