can anyone give me their best guess as to if this is a coolant leak and where I could buy one of these hoses? All of a sudden my landcruiser overheated and liquid that smells like coolant started spraying from the bottom of this hose. Wondering if this is a hose that carries coolant and where I could buy another one.

Your local Toyota dealer will have the correct hoses - change all of them
plus if I were you id be looking to change out that heater tap valve, the brownish colour of it means its perishing and may crack if & when you remove the hoses

It's a diesel and given the sardine clamps on the hoses - they are likely all original. You really need to change ALL of them (and the heater valve).

Given it's a diesel, you will need to do some homework or reach out to ih8mud vendors to source what you can.

cheers,
george.

The picture posted had an arrow pointing to the hose going down to the side of the engine-- and I think he means to say that the leak was below that hose.

But as everyone said-- he also needs to replace the hoses at the top and the heater valve, along with probably every other heater hose.
