To bad we can't get them here.
I have been thinking about building my own that size out of this (blue one):
The yellow one is my friends, and now rolls on 33's (not 31's in the pic).

I have seen them on Canadian JDM import pages but there does not seem to be much demand. Anything 15 years and older can be imported into Canada.
Try this Zuk which Japanoid haslisted for just over $7Gs:
- 660cc F6A engine with Optional Turbo
3 cylinder SOHC & Turbo with intercooler, 55 horsepower - Factory 45 mpg
Best in it's class (1/1 ain't bad) - On the fly 4WD
Perfect for a weekend on the trails, go where other jeeps won't fit. - Great Options
Sunroof, convertible, hardtop, auto, 5spd, fogs, whateva, whereva.

What can I say, I haven't seen you in a while and just felt like picking on someone.

I would never pay $7000 for a samurai (or Jimny).
Unless it was a built sweet truck.
I also would not touch the 3cyl engine listed. And is it auto? That would SUCK!! They are slow as it is. I am used to driving one that has a 80kph top speed at 4400rpm. You HAVE TO love the rig, t p put up with the speed & noise.
You can go to the southern US, get a sweet, grampa driven, towed behind his 5thwheel on a trailer one with the 1.3L engine, almost no miles and LHD (all where 5 speeds) for $2500-3500 US ($4500 max once its back here ). So why would I spend $7000 for the one above. Yes its just as clean. But no way. They are just riding the JDM hype on that one. That one is worse off than a north american spec unit, in an atempt to put it in Kei-car class for the engine.
I am a hardcore zuk fan. Just as much as cruisers.
But I wouldn't touch the above one. Maybe for $3500 or so. Just maybe....
