mustang for cruisin and the 911 for track days.
That was the baddest production car at the time....it was illegal to race NASCAR after Richard Petty wipped everyone's ass for 2 yrs....that is when everyone learned about downforce.
a real hemi engine from that era is real stupid money....
cars from that time are things of beauty....that is when americans knew how to build a car. It is actually amazing that death rate was not sky high when you had 300 to 400 hp on s***ty roads and 0 handling.
Since Bomar pulled his out a little, here are two of my favorites from the past. The '71 442 convertible with the W-25 hood was mine (the one on the left was a buddy's '72 442), and the one below is a 70 Buick GS Stage 1 convertible. Compared to either the 'bird or the Chevelle, the Buick was a REAL sleeper! In completely stock form, the Buick's 455 was rated at 510 lb.-ft. of torque! (AND out of the 233 Stage 1 convertibles they made, this one was the ONLY 3-speed manual).............yeah, you're right. I wish I had sold it 2 years ago and not 19 years ago, because the last one I saw up for sale sold for $245K!mustang for cruisin and the 911 for track days.
Here's one for Bomar! Guess where I am and who the car belongs to!
I'm going to say that it is one of Uday's Sunday drivers over in the sand box.
Yeah in a bunker in Iraq. I guess he hid it there thinkin' they were gonna win. One of the guys with us evidently had car thief on his training record and he hot wired it. We drove it around for a while.
